Thing's happen for a reason

I so often find myself saying "I wish I never did that or I wish that never happened" but if you think about it, everything we go through moulds us to an end product of who we are in the end. Its much like the wind blowing up against stone and moluding it. We may think that we have it tough or everything bad happens to us. But was it really bad? Did that very thing not make you realise something, or maybe even give you a better knowlage that you didnt have before? If we approach everything we do with the attitude of "im going to get so much out of this" and even though it may not be what I want, it will make me a "richer" person, opposed to im just going "to get hurt" or im just going to "get the raw deal" of it. We will come out a much richer person. Ive found myself in situations where I found myself regretting, but thinking about it now, I wouldnt be the person I am today with out it. So instead of living with regreats and bad merories in the past just think of how it enriched your future #TheBoyWhoTouchedTheHeaterNeverDidItAgain

Ki I know my truth

Don't think Id wana quite you...
So I'm going to start with one off by saying… WOW! I'm speechless “why am I writing this then?” I laugh while typing. In my previous blog I said I was coming back for an Arab… strangely enough I’ve come cross one that, well I didn’t expect. But my oh my! You know how when you see that pair of shoes that you just have to have! Well yeah this is kind of how I am feeling. I used to think I knew what attraction was but this really opened my eyes! For the first time I found myself in awe of this guys personality. Like couldn’t get enough of it… would I be pushing it by saying love at first sight? Yeah no that was a joke but its defiantly attraction at first sight.
I remember thinking to myself “this is how I want it to be” while we layed on the wooden paneled floor (I love wooden floors). We must have layed there speaking for close on 3 hours! Like what! And there was not one second that I felt the convocation was “dry”
He listens to all the shit I had to say, all my crazy ideas and show real interest (I think it was real…. Wait he is an actor) we laughed smiled (ever tried laughing without smiling) could deal with that shit for life! and when o touch him something happen and not its not sexual its so real.
Its safe to say that you have to be friends with your soul mate! It will make for such a happy life! I'm  still pretty speechless like yeah. I Feel so new to this. I probably shouldn’t broadcast suck things over the net but what can I say I pretty open. I have to say it’s crazy cute how he smiles while he sleeps and talks in a baby voice when tired.
“thinking to myself” Falling head over hills? Possibly … but what if? You never know.
So yeah just wanted to say there is hope out there. There are some pretty amazing people out there I guess they just need to fall into your path.

Anyway let’s see where this goes.

All you need is LOVE!

So I here I am on flight J371 Mango airlines, its 20:50 and I’m on my way back to Cape Town to pursue love. Now this is coming from a guy that doesn’t usually believe in love and soul mates and that sort of thing. But what can I say there’s just this one person that makes really happy yet really angry, but I think it’s the happiness that counts the most. “So I’d like to think” trying to convince myself. You see six months ago I decided to “run away” from stresses and worries and negativity that surrounded me in Cape Town hoping that by increasing my distance would decrease all of these problems. And yes for the first few weeks I was kept busy in my new job and forgot about all these problems I thought I had gotten rid of. But it all soon came back knocking in my door. At 21 years of age I can say that the only way to deal with stress, problems, anger, hate, love, addiction is to face it head on! No matter where you run how you hide or who you are, they will always follow you. I once wrote a small piece titled “Life in the Sky”  this comparing to life as we know it to a flight experience (yes I love aviation).  So 30 minutes to landing and this time around I’m going to start preparing for my future I’m going to face all my problems head on and not shy away like a coward and at the same time I’m hoping for  decent love story to come about too. Let’s face it we all need love we all need that someone that’s there for us no matter what.

And this time I’m going to try find that in a cute Arab boy. Okay he isn’t really Arab but he looks the part. “Wait did that sound gay?”I find myself laughing, well maybe I am?

Jet Setter

My dad always said “you learn more by traveling than you do by sitting in a desk staring at a black board. Well I can say this is completely true! I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit of late and I am really enjoying it! Meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and new things.  I’ve been searching for something for a while now … and I can’t even say what it is. I keep telling myself that once I find it ill know what it is I’m looking for. But one thing I have found myself doing a lot of is going from city to city... I think it’s safe to say that I have a passion for traveling. Right now I’m on a bus after missing it in Durban and then having to race trough to Petermaritz Burg to catch it. And for those who know me well… yes a bus, a vehicle that stays on land!!! Not a plane. FML! Me, with my guitar, 29kg roller bag; lap top; back pack and pillow am on a bus trip from Durban to Cape Town… a total of 24 hours, kind of nonstop trip! (Thank goodness there is a toilet on this bus!) Only problem now is no plug port for my laptop or Black Berry, and you can just imagine how my “battery alert” tone is screaming. Just to think that in a few seconds I’m going to be out of touch with people ahhhhhh!!! #TooDependantOnTechnology.  However the scenery is beautiful outside my window and it would do me well to catch a glimpse of it while I can as the sun is to set pretty soon. Fields; grass; soil; trees; mountains all so inspiring and should never be missed! Well that’s all from me for now. Let me go before my battery dies. Till next time.

Month #1 in Durban

The sound of crickets rubbing their legs together in unison echos in my ears as i sit on a wooden deck, wiping tiny drops off my notebooks screen. So today is one month since I touched down in Durban. Away from home in a place I don’t know. It has being a crazy month… new experiences; new people; different surroundings and mixed emotions. On one hand I’m learning new things and growing myself in areas that I would have never ventured into. I’m staying in a little town North of Durban and it is extremely beautiful! The weather has being tropical and it really is my ideal setting. There has being times where I’ve being ready to book a ticket home and moments of “damn I’m never going home” .I can say I’ve survived a month and I’m sticking it out ;) I do feel lonely though; don’t know anyone really well and yeah away from home so -you can imagine-… I work with kids weekly and it really is inspiring! It’s amazing watching the smiles on these kids’ faces and how they find joy in the smallest of things. My fellow colleges are all too funny… everyone in their own way.. It’s crazy! Not to mention the scandal and sex (yes I said it S.E.X)that goes on here…

Well when I feel the need or rather the urge to blog I will J see you guys around.

R500,00 To Take Off!

Personal History:
As you know my name is Blythe Stuart Linger I live in Cape Town and I am 20 years of age. To give you a brief history of myself, I was raised by my mom as both my dad and step dad passed away at an early age in my life, this leaving my mom to finance all my education and living expenses. I have worked from a young age for my own money to help ease the financial strain on my mother. I am one of the first in my family to receive a matric (National Senior Certificate) and I would like to be the first to put an end to this atmosphere of struggle that seems to hang around us!

Reason for wanting to do piloting:
I have many things I enjoy doing in life: writing; theater; music; Jazz but my underlining dream has always been Piloting! I started my PPL(Private Pilot License) at age 14 where my mom thought she would be able to pay for it par time, but I soon had to stop as it became increasingly expensive. It killed me to have to give up on my dream. Then a few other factors came in that added on as well. Then just the other day it popped into my head again. My dream is to be a commercial pilot and once working I would like to sponsor another person -that is in the same situation as I am at the moment- to follow their dream. I believe that it is an incredibly important ripple effect to cause, so that we will find ourselves empowering each other from generation to generation! I also believe we will be most fruitful and successful in our area of passions!

How I came up with the idea of raising money:
After going from bank to bank it became clear that I would never be able to qualify for a loan of R500 000 let alone paying the interest back per month. My mom also owns no property… This left me thinking, and after doing some research on statistics in Cape Town alone, I came to realize that there are over 3.4 mill people living in cape town and if I were to just collect 1 Rand from 500 000 of those people I would be able to finance my dream. A plastic bag at a super market cost almost 1 Rand now a days… and people by bags without thinking, why can’t I take those 1 Rands and put them to good use?… and use it to empower not only myself but my family and even make a positive effect on my country! The idea seemed/ seems crazy but the more you think about it the more possible it becomes.

Cutoff date of fund raising, and what if I don’t reach my goal?
My cutoff date would be June 2013 as that’s when I would need to start training. If I don’t reach my goal of either R100 000(PPL course) or R500 00(PPL+COM course) I will give all proceeds to charity. I have decided to do this as the money is not my own in the first place. I want it for one thing and one thing only and that Is to pursue my dream… If I fail to do that I believe it’s only right that the money goes to others who need it more and who could possibly even go on to follow their dreams!
Course info:
The course is an intensive course done over 178+- days at 43 air school in Port Alfred South Africa and costs R500 000. There is also a course for R100 000 for a PPL (Private Pilot License) done over 54days +-. 43 air schools is one of the best flight schools around feeding excellent quality pilots into both local and international airlines.
